Christmas Jars: by Jason F. Wright
Brief Summary from Amazon for “Christmas Jars”: From Publishers Weekly: “In a plot reminiscent of Penelope Stokes’s The Blue Bottle Club and Angela Hunt’s The Note, a journalist happens upon a human interest story that winds up teaching her lessons about love and forgiveness and renewing her own faith in human kindness. On Christmas Eve, twenty-something Hope Jensen is quietly grieving the recent loss of her adoptive mother when her apartment is robbed. Location and Appeal: This story has stayed in my mind since the day I originally read it. It is a rich and meaningful present day story that may inspire you to also collect your spare change all year long, then let your heart lead you to who may need to find it at their door unexpectedly. Just a few coins add up and can be life-changing for someone in need, as well as the one giving the simple gift. Soak in this message, it may become your new tradition. I noticed that there is a follow-up book that continues the story, it is titled “Christmas Jars Reunion“. What a nice set this would be for gift-giving!
