Our Atlanta Braves are winning, whoop! And that works for me since my favorite sport is BASEBALL! How about you? Is there a sport you look forward to every season? My dad and I became big baseball buddies when I was around 9 years old. He taught me all about it, I collected baseball cards and the whole deal. We had not lived in Naples, Florida for very long when my dad made friends with an older man in our neighborhood, “Mr. Ingle”. Mr. Ingle had a little t.v. in his garage where we would all sit watching baseball while he spit on the floor, gross! Somehow it wasn’t gross back then, it was just part of watching the game, LOL!
This is a fun way to dress up a “sporty casual” oufit. Very comfortable yet feminine for any type of outdoor event such as sports, picnics, etc. I am showing two types of shoes that are practical and comfortable for walking from big parking lots and up and down stairs or bleachers. A good quality bright white t-shirt is an essential basic for your wardrobe and can be worn with multiple looks. The v-neck style is flattering because it shows more of your neck and chest which elongates and slenderizes the entire look. This t-shirt is from Old Navy at a great price point. The fabric is a smooth, pill-free cotton that is easy wash and wear; it has good coverage and is soft enough to go for the half-tuck look – I recommend wearing a skin tone bra to eliminate any shadows, just in case. The half-tuck shows off the stylish cheetah belt and is flattering to the waistline. I LOVE wearing my cheetah belt (or leopard, it goes by both names, ha!) for subtle pizzazz, I bought mine at Amazon here, terrific price point.
The dark cropped jeans are also from Old Navy. The style name has changed since I bought these a couple of years ago, but you can find similar here.
You can read about the cheetah shoes with options in my previous post here.
Outfit #2 is the “Athleisure” look, which is a mix of athletic clothing with dressier pieces. Another essential basic for your wardrobe is a good quality, comfortable white canvas sneaker. This pair is by Converse that I bought on sale at T. J. Maxx, I found similar for you here at Amazon – I wear low-cut thin socks, or go without, either way works . I added my goldtone zodiac pendant, goldtone drop earrings and a stretchy pearl bracelet that I bought from Avon a couple of years ago. These simple elements step up the outfit while still being casual. I found a similar necklace and earrings for you here and here on Amazon. The tunic length navy sweater is a cotton blend from Old Navy. I have had it for about three years, but have found similar cardigans here and here for you on Amazon. The sweater completes the look and keeps the chill off outside during the evening and when dining in chilly restaurants. I hope you enjoyed this post, comment below! I am wearing this fun outfit this coming weekend when we visit my older daughter in St. Louis, we have tickets to see the Cardinals there.
