Using your casual wardrobe pieces with dressier pieces and accessories is an easy way to get a great Dressy Casual look. Navy with gold is a neat looking classic that is very versatile. Navy is a fresh softer option from wearing basic black all of the time. This look is appropriate for Casual Fridays at work, dinner out with friends, going to the movies, a home party, and many more occasions.
This body skimming hip length t-shirt knit top is by Ellen Tracy. I bought this at Stein Mart a couple of years ago. The gold embellishment at the neckline adds fashion to the look, but any similar navy top will work.
The interchangeable snap cuff bracelet will be available in my Etsy shop soon, Designs by Lori Jo
These are the Mid-Rise Super-Skinny Ankle Jeans from Old Navy. Don’t let the word “skinny” fool you, these are super soft and comfortable with plenty of stretch, so buy your actual size, they do loosen after wearing them for an hour or so. This mid-rise style fits at the natural waist which is flattering and does not sit low and fall down. I have rolled the cuff up twice for this look to add style and to elongate my legs, the illusion of taller is good for me!
Another way to dress up a casual outfit is to wear layered pendants for an instant step up. The gold embellishment in the neckline of this t-shirt knit top almost counts as a third necklace layer. Read my previous posts here and here for similar fashion necklace options. The earrings are from Versona, I wear them every week. Similar gold drop earrings here at Amazon.
Cheetah or leopard print shoes are an essential basic for your wardrobe that will never go out of style. Adding a dressy shoe balances the layered necklaces on the canvas of casual pieces. So many mix and match combinations to give your outfit that extra Flair! I suggest owning one dressy pair and one comfy casual pair of the print shoes. Read my previous post about similar shoe options here.
How many of you LOVE your profile? I try to hide mine, ugh! Not crazy about this picture, but I wanted to show you a different angle of the outfit with the earrings more visible to show the tie-in with the necklaces. And, my highlights show too, which is something new I have added to my hair. I will be writing posts about hair, skin, makeup and other beauty very soon.
