Updating and tweaking my own personal style also includes our home life, which means the interior design of our house.  Tim and I enjoy keeping a neat clean home, but it was overdue for some personality updates!  I enjoy all things creative and Tim enjoys helping with some of my projects as well.  We had the French Country style for 19 years and I got the fidgets to change that look to Farmhouse just before the Thanksgiving holiday this past year (2017); thinking I could do it in a weekend, it ended up taking until the week before Christmas, because my hands just cannot work as fast as my busy brain, haha!

……….MORE COMING SOON on how we did it!  How we made the clock, curtains, pillows, and more……

BEFORE:  From French Country……

AFTER:  To Farmhouse……

I used black and white check tablecloths from Amazon to make the curtains and throw pillows.  Here is the shopping link:

  1. I love the slight changes in the room that made a big difference. I, too, need to make similar changes.

Hi, Rose! I kept pinning things on Pinterest that I liked, then I discovered the “Fixer Upper”show, yes I am late to that party. I realized that what I liked was called “Farmhouse” – I went for a look that used mostly what I have, and I did a lot of sewing but it was fun. I wanted more of a sleek look and not so much rustic country. The “drapes” are actually table cloths, yes I am frugal! I will be posting the details very soon and will announce the updated post. Thank you for following me, we “Flair Seekers” will have a lot of fun together.

Thanks so much, I need to finish up that post, I have a lot of images of the progress, and also of transforming our pantry from white louvered doors to barn doors. Thanks for visiting, I am already enjoying the FB group! 🙂
