This is my first workout outfit post, but first…. :  I finally broke down and bought an actual digital camera.  Please bear with me as I now learn the camera settings on top of learning how to blog, I am still under reinvention, ha!  We have a very tall living room window where the natural light comes in, so that is what I have to work with for now. I use the timer and have 10 seconds after I click it to run in front of the camera and pop a pose!  Just noticed that I have my reading glasses in my hand in the picture, oops….!

I actually purchased this fun workout shirt at Wal-Mart and the leggings at K-Mart.  It is lightweight with scalloped hem, just the right length for modesty coverage.  This No Boundaries brand is for Juniors, so I purchased it in size large for looseness, I normally wear small in Women’s clothing.  The spandex leggings are by Everlast.  They are colorful and comfortable, I purchased them in size medium for some extra movement, the leggings fabric has shades of blue and gray for mix and match options with tops.  I have had the cross-trainer shoes for a few years now.  They are the Pure Connect style by Brooks that I purchased  here at Amazon – they are not on sale now but were when I bought them, using the link will show you other price points in similar styles, I sized up one-half size.  These shoes provide good arch support and cushion without being clunky, I can walk forever in them.

I recently joined the express gym chain Snap Fitness.  I like their classes and try to go three days per week for yoga and body sculpting type workouts.  I have never been able to keep up with too much jumping and high intensity, even when I was a teenager.  I do love power walking and try to get in 10K-12K steps per day.  I use the gym’s treadmills, but I prefer walking outside in good weather or with my Leslie Sansone walking DVDs at home; I have a download version that I watch on several devices.

  1. I used to be addicted to Zumba and then our fabulous teacher moved out of state! That also coincided with our big move out about 10 miles from town. It became necessary to not rely on going to a place for exercise. We have been walking and loving it! It’s important for weight training though, according to my doctor, so we need to work that in.

Having a cute outfit to wear makes all the difference! It shouldn’t but it does. 🙂

Hey, Stacey! I love to dance, but my feet get tangled with Zumba, ha! Don’t know why! I do love walking, got my new Fitbit Charge 2 today, very excited, I ordered a jazzy cheetah print band and also a beaded one from Amazon, couldn’t resist 😀 Yes, weight resistance is so important, I need to do better with that, my recent bone density scan showed a slight loss due to a medication I was on, but the doc says I can rebuild with weights and up the green veges and add in yogurt since I don’t eat much dairy. Outfits make the workout much more fun, and you still look good if you have to run a quick errand afterward, updating my tops right now. So many things I need to post that you will like. Thanks so much for visiting, I will drop by your blog soon for a chat! <3 <3 <3
