(To learn more about Rosemont Book Club, please visit that post here.) I really enjoy the variety of reading we have done so far with the Rosemont Book Club.  “Before We Were Yours” is written by Lisa Wingate, a new author for me.  The book is fiction based on true events that are an unfortunate part of our country’s history.  I am enjoying learning about the history in the story, even though it is sad, as well as the style of the author’s writing and how she brings the characters together and builds the story behind each one. You can read a complete description of the book and purchase various formats of the book here at Amazon. Most of the time, I read my books on my Kindle Fire.  It is a handy light way to carry several books with you while traveling, plus you can download new books on the…

(To learn more about Rosemont Book Club, please visit that post here.) Now this one was really good!  “The Husband’s Secret” is written by Liane Moriarty, a new author for me.  This writing was very different for me!  I enjoyed the writer’s style and how she was able to slowly reveal something about each character and how they all overlapped in some way, with so many twists and surprises that it kept my pages turning and my mind alert.  Even though a lot was happening, there was no problem in keeping up with each character and remembering things about each one. Entertaining writing, I will read this author again. You can read a complete description of the book and purchase various formats of the book here at Amazon. (To learn more about Rosemont Book Club, please visit that post here.) “Coming Home” is written by Rosamunde Pilcher, such a classic style.  When you are in the mood for a really long, rich story this is the one.  Beautiful descriptive writing based in the World War II time period in England.  You will be transported through her descriptions and learn the history of this unfortunate time and will see how people coped with what was happening and follow their lives for several years, you will feel like you know them.  Excellent, I will read this author again, you can count on every book to be just as good as this one. As we inch toward Spring here in Georgia, we are still having cold and hot weather in the same day.  So, I am continuing with Spring floral transition outfits that are versatile in look as well as warmth.  These three outfit ideas all use the same floral top and black denim jeans.  Changing the outerwear, jewelry and shoes take you from weekend dressy-casual through an office/evening look while still being comfortable no matter what our crazy weather decides to do next.  This fun crepe blouse has a multitude of colors in a watercolor-look pattern.  So many colors to play off of with your accessories and other wardrobe pieces!  The top has an elastic bottom hem and also elastic on the bottom  of the sleeves.  The denim jacket keeps the chill off and adds a nice mix of casual texture with the feminine soft blouse.  The black jeans are from Old Navy…

(To learn more about Rosemont Book Club, please visit that post here.) “If Not for You” is by the wildly popular author, Debbie Macomber.  I consider her writing “cozy fiction” that is easy and relaxing to read, I have to be in the mood for that type of book.  It is clean reading with enough twists and turns to keep my interest. You can read a complete description of the book and purchase various formats of the book here at Amazon. Most of the time, I read my books on my Kindle Fire.  It is a handy light way to carry several books with you while traveling, plus you can download new books on the fly.  I also use mine like a mini laptop since it can go online.  I use a case that has a removable blue tooth keyboard.  At the time of this post, the Kindle Fire is…

Here in Georgia we are still having very cool mornings with a slow and windy warm up as the day goes on.  I just love this transition top!  It makes me happy with the muted floral print woven into the lightweight knit fabric that feels like a really soft sweater.  The double-bell short sleeve is fun and fashionable.  Again, the trend is all about the sleeve, lots of bell and flair types to choose from.  This top is from Versona, I hope to become an affiliate with them soon so that I can provide links to all of the cute things they have online. I have had the jeans for a few years now.  They are the older Sweetheart style from Old Navy.  They have updated all of their cuts and styling, which is a good thing.  A good update to the Sweetheart is the Mid-Rise Super Skinny style in the…

Updating and tweaking my own personal style also includes our home life, which means the interior design of our house.  Tim and I enjoy keeping a neat clean home, but it was overdue for some personality updates!  I enjoy all things creative and Tim enjoys helping with some of my projects as well.  We had the French Country style for 19 years and I got the fidgets to change that look to Farmhouse just before the Thanksgiving holiday this past year (2017); thinking I could do it in a weekend, it ended up taking until the week before Christmas, because my hands just cannot work as fast as my busy brain, haha! ……….MORE COMING SOON on how we did it!  How we made the clock, curtains, pillows, and more…… BEFORE:  From French Country…… AFTER:  To Farmhouse…… I welcome your comments and thoughts as I interact with my followers, let me know what you would…
