Floral Leggings 50 With Flair Over 40 Over 50

Happy First Day of Spring, well kind of  .…..!

We have had some crazy weather here in Georgia as have many other parts of the U.S. this year.  Sometimes it seems that we have all four seasons in the same day, haha!  I really appreciate a clear day and respond to sunshine with a good mood and pep in my step, how about you?  Regardless of what is going on outside, I push forward knowing that Spring is still peeking at us as I put together transition outfits that will keep the chill off but not be too hot if the climate should change in a few hours.

When you hear the word Spring, what do you think of?  I immediately think of FLOWERS and freshness.  Have I told you that #Versona is one of my very favorite stores?  It is fairly new to our city and has a great selection of current flattering styles that suit a range of ages, my younger daughter and I both love to shop there.  It is easy to find coordinating pieces and they always have a nice clearance section as well.  This look works for ALL body types!

This season, the look is all about the stylish bell sleeve, and I love it!  This Versona white eyelet bell sleeve top is a light weight sweater knit that keeps the chill off and provides nice coverage falling just below my bottom without being too long or too voluminous.  A body skimming flaired top is very flattering on most of us, but be careful to not oversize and wear things too boxy, flowy or billowy if you are wanting to disguise certain areas of your body; this can actually make you look bigger than what you really are.

I have accessorized this look with my original handmade wine cork necklace and black drop bead earrings.  I will be offering these jewelry pieces in my Etsy shop very soon, Designs by Lori Jo!  The cuff bracelets are very versatile and will also be listed in the shop — I love the interchangeable, mix and match snap-on center embellishment and will have a wide assortment to choose from, so fun!  In the meantime, please contact me if you like the look and would like something similar or custom.  I like the way this turquoise-look snap-on ties in with the blue in the floral leggings; there is also a blue bead in the necklace that is hard to see.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:  Yes, you can wear floral leggings!  It is a nice balanced look with the solid, flaired top and a nice transition into spring florals which are going to be hugely popular this season.  Versona knit leggings are so comfortable and soft.  These are a nice mid-weight thickness that moves with you and is not see-through.  I chose my actual size, there is no need to go up due to the soft stretch.  They stay in place with a soft waist band at the natural waist, no binding or cutting.  I do wear my skin tone tunic length Old Navy camisole underneath the top since the floral very slightly shows through the bottom of the top, plus it provides a thin layer of warmth since we can still have windy days here.  You could probably go without it, I just tend to have laser vision and see every little thing, haha!  The comfortable and cute black gladiator cork wedge sandals are “Hania” by Naturalizer (N5 Comfort line) (2-1/4″ heel, cushioned insole).  You can shop a similar style here at Amazon.

This is a lighter accent option if you want more of a neutral look.  These tan wedge platform sandals are “Vibrant” also by Naturalizer  (2-1/4″ heel, 1″ platform front, cushioned insole), you can shop similar style here at Amazon.

The handbag is by Etienne Aigner (similar style and color here at Amazon) – this was a surprise gift to me from our author friend.  He writes a series of detective novels and gave me this lovely bag for proofreading two of his manuscripts, you can find David A. Sterlings books here on Amazon.  The bag is a smaller mid-size bag that has a toggle closure, bamboo handle and detachable adjustable shoulder strap, it goes with everything!

Faux stone gold tone drop earrings and necklace are from Versona.  Black and tan crystal memory wire bracelet will be available in my Etsy shop soon, Designs by Lori Jo !
